Welcome to the VET GOES RURAL methodology and Educational Suite! The “VETgoesRURAL” project aims to improve the skills and capacities of VET (Vocational/Further Education and Training) providers (practitioners, trainers and educational institutions) to provide better training and encourage student participation in isolated rural and remote areas of the EU.
To meet this goal, we have designed an innovative VET educational methodology and a suite of resources, combining open, digital and participatory learning environments. These documents guide the planning, development and evaluation activities of vocational and long life training, formal and non formal, in rural, remote and isolated areas.
The VETgoesRURAL Methodological Suite covers a selection of dynamics, tools, and more efficient methods adapted to professional and continuous training that favour the participation of students, the motivation of trainers and practitioners and their integration in the development of their territories of the VET programs of rural/remote contexts. It responds to the six main educational challenges faced by professional education in rural areas:
Promoting active participation on the part of the students, motivation and commitment to the processes of training and learning together
Ensuring practical application of the learning in the students’ career paths
Ensuring inclusive and accessible education.
Use of innovative digital tools and gamification opportunities for learning.
Vocational guidance, learning support, monitoring and assessment.
Design adapted to the specific needs of rural areas and with a gender perspective.
